MATH: Here are the math homework updates for this week:
Please expect students' homework to be sent home in Thursday folders on 5/10/2017. This is also the last day I will be accepting the homework assigned last Thursday, 5/4. Please keep an eye out for the metric practice math homework sent him in this week's Thursday folders on 5/11/2017. This will be due next Thursday, 5/18/2017.
LITERACY: *Due Monday, February 27th
1. Read with your family 20 minutes each night.
On the bottom of the page where you will write your paragraph this week, write the name of the person who read with you, and the title of what you read (this could be a newspaper article, magazine, book, etc...)
2. Write a paragraph that includes a topic sentence, 3 details, and a conclusion sentence in response to the following writing prompt: Pretend that you came home to find out that your family is moving. You only have 5 minutes to pack. You have 5 minutes to write a list of what you would bring with you. Turn in your paragraph by Monday, February 27th
Spelling Words: Unit 26, (February 21st- February 24th): Changing Final 'y' to 'i' cities, cried, puppies, hurried, stories, dried, carried, flies, worried, parties, tried, pennies, ponies, babies, pretty, very, countries, libraries
3. Practice your spelling words (pre-test, ABC order, sentences, Draw a line between the two words that make up each spelling word. Turn in your spelling test that you took at home by Monday, February 27th.
*Spelling homework is for practice, complete the spelling practice as needed. Spelling homework is not collected at the end of the week.
SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:
SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES HOMEWORK WILL BE ASSIGNED WITH DUE DATE AS MOST OF OUR HOMEWORK IS RESEARCH BASED OVER A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME.
Students are learning about 'OBJECTS IN THE SKY' this semester. We will be exploring OUTER SPACE and THE UNIVERSE. Students have began research on Space Stations and can add to their research through their Google Docs & Google Slides.
